Regulatory framework

The framework we operate under

EU–Brazil adequacy
January 2026

Mutual data adequacy recognition. In January 2026 the European Union and Brazil formally recognized each other’s data protection regimes as adequate. Data can flow between the two without additional transfer mechanisms. The gateway is built on this foundation. Read the adequacy framework.

GDPR

European data protection. SolerWorks acts as data processor for its enterprise clients and contracts with them directly.

LGPD

Brazilian data protection. SolerWorks operates under Brazil’s general data protection law, supervised by the national authority, the ANPD.

Standard contractual clauses

Built-in fallback. Included in every agreement, so data flows stay covered whatever happens to the adequacy decision.

Scope of the service

SolerWorks provides the contracting entity and the regulatory and data processing infrastructure for engineering teams in Brazil. It does not provide legal advice or engineering management. Technical direction and deliverables stay with the delivery partner and the client. The full split of responsibilities between SolerWorks, the delivery partner and the client is set out in how it works.
